Color Me Queer: Storytelling With Art

Empowering LGBTQ+ & Allied Youth to Express Their Stories Through Creative Art

About The Program

Color Me Queer: Storytelling with Art is an empowering program designed for LGBTQ+ youth artists ages 13-18. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for young creatives to express their stories through various art forms while receiving mentorship from professional artists. Participants will engage in exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of local art institutions, gaining insights into the world of art and its impact on storytelling.

The program includes a series of workshops facilitated by local artists and non-profits, focusing on the intersection of art and personal narratives. These sessions will provide valuable skills and techniques to help youth articulate their experiences and identities through their artwork.

To culminate the program, each participant's art will be showcased in a special exhibition at our Pridefest celebration in June. This event will not only highlight the incredible talents of these young artists but also celebrate their unique stories and contributions to the LGBTQ+ community.

Join us in fostering creativity, self-expression, and community support through Color Me Queer: Storytelling with Art.
