Christina Malubag Schmidt (she/her) is lifelong resident of Hampton Roads that grew up in Virginia Beach. Being mestiza, she is proud to provide representation on the board for other minority women in the community. She is also passionate about raising awareness and promoting inclusivity for those with disabilities, as the stepmother of a young adult with Williams Syndrome.

Christina began her career in pharmacy over 20 years ago and currently works as a Medicaid Pharmacy Operations Program Manager for CarelonRx (an Elevance Health company). In addition to her full-time job responsibilities, she serves as a State Chapter Lead and Book Club Committee member for Elevance Health’s PRIDE Business Resource Group.

Christina enjoys playing guitar in the all-female cover band Not Those Girls. The band was honored to perform on the main stage at PrideFest in 2019 and 2022. They won Best of Gay HRVA – Best Local Music Performer as voted by Outwire757 readers in 2020 and 2021.

Christina has a deep appreciation for the LGBTQIAP+ icons and trailblazers in our community that have paved the way to make Pride what it is today and she is ecstatic to be part of the evolution.
