Cory Moreno

Cory J. Moreno (He/Him/His) is honored to have been selected to become a temporary board member for Hampton Roads Pride in April of 2023. Cory spent most of his childhood in Hampton Roads until moving to New York City in 2007 where he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Upon graduating from AMDA, Cory toured across the United States performing professionally  in Musical Theater.  When he was not performing Cory enjoyed becoming a “jack-of-all-trades” and discovering his passions off of the stage to include becoming a stylist for Kenneth Cole and Juicy Couture and  Staffing Director and Event Planner for an NYC full service Event Planning Company. Cory received his Bachelor of Fine Arts  from The New School in New York City.

Cory returned to his hometown of Hampton, VA in December of 2020 to begin planning his future of building a family. He is currently the Event Liaison at Tradition Brewing Company in Newport News. Since his return to Virginia, Cory has focused on using his platform to produce events that give back to the community and bring the community together to increase awareness of our diversity. Most recently, Cory has taken the initiative to  produce the first ever pride festival to take place in the City of Newport News, The I Am What I Am Pride Festival. Cory is excited to join the Hampton Roads Pride family, and looking forward to creating more events that celebrate the beauty within our community.
