Hampton Roads Pride is proud to sponsor and to showcase this first screening of the first installment of a series of short films on the queer history of America’s first region: Hampton Roads. This inaugural film focuses on Norfolk’s Ghent neighborhood with over a dozen stops on a tour of the most significant people and places that contributed to the making of our own LGBTQ communities. Based upon archival research and oral interviews, it hopes to make the hidden narratives of our area visible to a general public.
