Hampton Roads Pride mission is to unite the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQIAP+) and allied communities in support of inclusion, dignity and equality of all people. As part of our mission to unite, we sometimes have to make the hard call to pause or postpone programming for the safety of our community. Tonight, in collaboration with the City of Virginia Beach, City of Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation, and Mettle Events, we have made the decision to postpone the 2023 Run the Rainbow 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, The scheduled Packet Pickup at Three Notch’d Brewery, and the Run the Rainbow Post-Race Party at Three Notch’d Brewery. Due to the amount of rain we are anticipating on Friday and Saturday, the course is expected to flood with minimal drainage by Sunday morning. We will work with City leaders and Mettle Events to identify a makeup date. As soon as we have one, we will share the date with you. Please monitor social media, email, and the race website for updates. Stay dry and safe this weekend, and we will share the makeup date when we have it! #Runtherainbow5k
