The Nominating & Volunteer Committee’s responsibilities are two-fold. 

First, to solicit applications for available seats on the Hampton Roads Pride Board of Directors. Persons on this committee are not permitted to be running for election for a Board seat in the current general election cycle nor should any person on this committee be nominated to run for a Board seat in the current year’s General Election. The Committee announces the acceptance of applications and establishes a deadline for applications, after which the Committee reviews the applications and makes recommendations (also known as a “slate”) to the Hampton  Roads Pride membership. 

Second, as a volunteer-led and volunteer-driven nonprofit, Hampton Roads Pride relies on our volunteers to host every event and outreach program we offer to the community. Strong  recruitment, retention, and organizational skills which build lasting relationships with our volunteers makes everything we do at Hampton Roads Pride possible.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
