Nick Dintelmann

Nick Dintelmann (he/him) was elected to the Board of Directors in 2021 and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Partnership & Volunteering Committees. Nick arrived to Hampton Roads in the summer of 2019 and attended PrideFest to discover more about the community. The impact on him led to his desire to grow Hampton Roads Pride to become a focus year-round with many partners and great volunteer opportunities.
Nick was born in Belleville, Illinois before attending the University Of Arkansas Walton School Of Business. While majoring in International Business Supply Chain Management, he started the International Business Club and achieved the highest honor for their major, the Outstanding Student Award. Nick has worked in retail throughout his career at companies such as The Hershey Company in Arkansas, JCPenney Inc. in Texas and now Dollar Tree Inc. in Virginia.
Nick’s passion has always been around community, partnership and volunteering. While working in the DFW metroplex, his leadership includes working with the Special Olympics, American Red Cross, the Pat & Emmitt Smith Foundation, the Angel Tree program, local food banks, and JCPenney’s LGBT+ employee group. Upon his arrival, Nick joined the Downtown 100, a local networking group for Downtown Norfolk and has been active in events. Nick is also a co-chair of Dollar Tree Inc.’s LGBT+ employee group. His desire to ensure LGBT+ pride is year-round will continue to grow during his tenure on the board.
