Who Runs Hampton Roads Pride?
We often receive questions about who organizes Hampton Roads Pride® each year, so we’d like to clarify. Everything you see, from the growth of Pride Weekend to our year-round community events, is made possible by a team of unpaid, passionate volunteers.
The individuals featured on this page dedicate countless hours outside of their full-time jobs, families, and personal commitments to make Pride happen. Months of research, communication, and collaboration come together to create the celebration of equity, diversity, and unity that you experience throughout the year and in June.
Every idea, initiative, and recommendation is presented to the Hampton Roads Pride Board of Directors to ensure we remain financially responsible and aligned with our mission to uplift and empower the LGBTQIA+ community.
