We often receive questions about who organizes Hampton Roads Pride® each year, so we’d like to clarify. Everything you see, from the growth of Pride Weekend to our year-round community events, is made possible by a team of unpaid, passionate volunteers.

The individuals featured on this page—our Steering Committee and Board of Directors—dedicate countless hours outside of their full-time jobs, families, and personal commitments to make Pride happen. Months of research, communication, and collaboration come together to create the celebration of equity, diversity, and unity that you experience throughout the year and in June.

Every idea, initiative, and recommendation is presented to the Hampton Roads Pride Board of Directors to ensure we remain financially responsible and aligned with our mission to uplift and empower the LGBTQIA+ community.

This team—comprised of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies from all walks of life—is made up of dedicated volunteers whose sole passion is to create an unforgettable Pride experience that everyone can enjoy and participate in. None of this would be possible without them, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment, energy, and love for our community.
