OUR TEAM
Who Runs Hampton Roads Pride?
Our Steering Committee works tirelessly year-round, planning, refining, and improving Hampton Roads Pride to ensure it is bigger, better, and more inclusive for our entire community and allies. Months of research, communication, and collaboration come together to create the celebration of equity, diversity, and unity that you experience throughout the year and in June.
Every idea, initiative, and recommendation is presented to the Hampton Roads Pride Board of Directors to ensure we remain financially responsible and aligned with our mission to uplift and empower the LGBTQIA+ community.
This team—comprised of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies from all walks of life—is made up of dedicated volunteers whose sole passion is to create an unforgettable Pride experience that everyone can enjoy and participate in. None of this would be possible without them, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment, energy, and love for our community.

Jeff Ryder
President, He/Him
Jeff currently serves as the President of Hampton Roads Pride. He is the Managing Director of a prominent regional theatre company.
Jamar Davis
Vice President, He/Him
Jamar currently serves as the Vice President of Hampton Roads Pride, Chair of Signature Events and Co-Chair of Communications. He is the Founder of a regional entertainment company.
Fawn Faulks
Secretary, She/Her
Fawn currently serves as the Secretary of Hampton Roads Pride and is a Past President. She holds a number of Board roles in various local non-profits and churches and currently works in the mental health field as a clinical professional.
Ray Fullerton
Treasurer, He/Him
Ray currently serves as the Treasurer of Hampton Roads Pride. He works in financial management for a large contractor.

Rudy Almanzor
Director, He/Him
Rudy currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride and is a Past President. He works in healthcare for a large hospital system.
Hannah Barber
Director, She/Her
Hannah currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride. She is the Co-Chair of the Communications and Community Engagement Committees. She is a people leader in the financial services industry.
Alex Walsh
Director, They/Them
Alex currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride. They work in leadership for a U.S. based non-profit serving zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, and conservation organizations worldwide.
Jason McDonald
Director, He/Him
Jason currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride and was the recent Past Secretary. He works in software sales to Federal and State entities.
Christina Schmidt
Director, She/Her
Christina currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride, leading our entertainment operations. She works as a Program Manager in healthcare and is a leader for her employer's Pride ERG on a national level. She also plays guitar and sings in an all-female band.
David Seeley
Director, He/Him
David currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride and is a Past Vice President. He works in the accounting industry.
Cory Moreno
Director, He/Him
Cory currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride. He is also the Co-Chair of the Community Engagement Committee. He operates an entertainment company.
Joe Pennington
Director, He/Him
Joe currently serves as a Director of Hampton Roads Pride and is the Director of our Volunteer efforts. He works in financial services and is a First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
